The saga, they promise, will continue to expand with new video games.
After achieving remarkable success on PC, PS4 and PS Vita, the World of Final Fantasy series prepares its assault on mobile devices with a new role-playing game that responds to the name of World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo and is being developed by Drecom , a company specialized in smartphones that has worked in prestigious sagas such as Everybody’s Golf .
Square Enix recognizes that this project was conceived before even giving shape to the original World of Final Fantasy; his intention with this title is to attract a casual audience without losing the opportunity to please followers of the first installment of the franchise. It’s peculiarities?
This iOS and Android RPG will keep intact some of the hallmarks of World of Final Fantasy, such as the possibility of placing a maximum of six characters, one above the other, as long as they are small; either four mid or two large. Meli-Melo will also have cooperative game options.
In this adventure, we will come across characters from the original video game while we meet others who are totally new. Your story will be told as if it were a manga. In charge of the video game is the director of the original work, Hiroki Chiba, along with veteran executive producer Shinji Hashimoto.
Square Enix has also confirmed that the original title has enjoyed great commercial success selling 800,000 units worldwide; his intention is to create more video games based on this franchise. At the moment its release date has not been specified.
